Type: Laptop System: HP product: HP Laptop 17-cn0xxx v: N/A Here is that information that you requested. I rebooted it again and the updates went through and rebooted it again as requested, then opened up Firefox and just let it sit there and came back two hours later and it was frozen again, I'm done with 'Edge and am going to try Ubuntu and see what happens.īut not the information asked for. The 'Edge installer froze about seven times during the install all at various places, no warning nothing odd happening the little spinner just froze and the laptop was unresponsive and had to be powered off and rebooted, I rebooted it and just let it sit there for over an hour with the WiFi connected and the Live Desktop never froze up and acted fine so I don't think the laptop is having any problems itself, so I had it do the install again and it finally did finish installing and then froze up right in the middle of downloading system updates. I'll download that Edge version and re-burn a USB stick and see what happens. This is a bare bones BIOS, there are only a few things that you allowed to enable/disable, TPM (not TCM as I had earlier mentioned) and Secure Boot are two of the things that you can modify, this is not an over clocker's dream machine this is just a set it and leave it office grade laptop to get your work done on. You can view its stats here (as far as I know it has not been modified in any way) this is an HP MODEL 17-cn0053cl ProdID 316H8UA#ABA build date. If that doesn't fix it, post the output from inxi -Fxxxrz.
